Job Title - Sr. Data Scientist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Scientist with 18-20 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Statistics, Azure Open AI Service, EDA, Airflow, Knowledge Graph, ML Ops, Machine Learning, Cloud AutoML, Dialogflow, OpenCV, AI, NLP, Deep Learning, PyTorch, AI-enabled chatbot, TensorFlow, R Statistical Package, Python, and SEO. Experience in Supply Chain Management and Consumer Goods is a plus. This is a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • Oversee the design and execution of exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and patterns in large datasets.
  • Provide expertise in machine learning and deep learning techniques to develop predictive models and improve decision-making processes.
  • Utilize Azure Open AI Service and Cloud AutoML to build scalable AI solutions.
  • Implement and manage ML Ops practices to ensure the reliability and efficiency of machine learning workflows.
  • Develop and deploy AI-enabled chatbots using Dialogflow and other relevant technologies.
  • Apply natural language processing (NLP) techniques to analyze and interpret unstructured data.
  • Use OpenCV and other computer vision tools to develop image and video analysis solutions.
  • Integrate knowledge graph technologies to enhance data connectivity and context understanding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of data science solutions.
  • Conduct thorough statistical analysis using R Statistical Package and Python to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Optimize search engine performance through effective SEO strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to continuously improve our solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong background in Statistics, Azure Open AI Service, EDA, Airflow, Knowledge Graph, ML Ops, Machine Learning, Cloud AutoML, Dialogflow, OpenCV, AI, NLP, Deep Learning, PyTorch, AI-enabled chatbot, TensorFlow, R Statistical Package, Python, and SEO.
  • Demonstrate experience in Supply Chain Management and Consumer Goods.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a hybrid work model.
  • Showcase strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Hold a proven track record of successfully leading and implementing data science projects.
  • Display a commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Show proficiency in mentoring and guiding junior team members to achieve their full potential.

Certifications Required

  • Certified Data Scientist, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, TensorFlow Developer Certificate.

Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until Jan 3rd 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $120K - $175K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
