Job Title: Emergency Medicine - Pediatric Location: Dayton, OH Start: March 2025 Posting Date: 12/12/2024 On Call Requirements: Yes, 60 minutes response time Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 60 days Job Description: * Annual ER Volume: 101,692 * Trauma Level/Designation: Level I * Total Number of Beds: 59 beds * Percent of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 12% * Percent of ED Patients Transferred per Day: 0.2% * Percent of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track: 40% * Fast Track Staffing: Both MD and APP * ED Staffing: 23 ED physicians in the group * Emergency Department Design: * Fast track available * ED physicians and residents write admission orders * ED does not respond to house codes * Supervision: Required to supervise APPs and residents * Documentation System: EPIC Clinical Details: * Trauma Care: Level I trauma center * Patient Transfers/Referrals: * DCH has a communication center that coordinates transfers * Local EMS transports from the scene, and Miami Valley Hospital provides air transport as needed for trauma cases * Specialist Support Available: * Critical care intensivist * Cardiologist, pulmonologist, neurologist, gastroenterologist, and more * Pediatric, neuro, and ortho surgery available * Radiology: 24-hour availability for CT, MRI, X-ray * Laboratory: 24-hour lab services * Blood Bank: Certified by AABB * Surgical Services: Neuro and ortho surgical services available Additional Information: Shift Requirements: Varied shifts, including possible nights and weekends
