Corporate Counsel, Amazon Air

We’re looking for a talented lawyer to support our dynamic Amazon Air business, which operates a global air cargo network that includes a fleet of over 100 cargo aircraft serving more than 70 airports in North America, Europe, and Asia with 250 flights daily. This attorney will be primarily responsible for supporting Amazon Air Cargo, our growing air cargo business that provides cargo transportation services to third-party customers such as enterprise shippers, freight forwarders, and logistics companies.


Key job responsibilities

You will be embedded with the Amazon Air Cargo team, partnering directly with the business to develop our operational and technical capabilities and continually improve the experiences of our customers. You’ll serve as lead counsel on commercial and regulatory matters for Amazon Air Cargo – helping to shape long term strategy, finding opportunities to handle legal issues in creative ways, and building processes that address risk and allow the business the flexibility and freedom to move quickly.


Minimum Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of legal experience
  2. Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  3. Experience working in the aviation and/or logistics sectors
  4. A mix of law firm, in-house, and/or government experience
  5. Prior work for a start-up or other rapid-growth business

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
