Interventional Radiologist - Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Oak Harbor, WA

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens position near Oak Harbor, WA. This opportunity is ideal for a physician with expertise in a broad range of interventional radiology procedures, offering the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. The position is available immediately and will continue on an ongoing basis, providing a flexible yet consistent work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Referral Management: Manage and respond to referrals to Interventional Radiology, working closely with referring physicians to discuss cases and provide timely and efficient services.
  • Procedure Performance: Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including:
    • Drain placement
    • Biliary interventions
    • Urologic interventions
    • Hepatobiliary interventions, including TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt), BRTO (Balloon-Occluded Retrograde Transvenous Obliteration), and GI bleed embolization
    • PE thrombolysis or thrombectomy
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to both hospital inpatients and outpatients, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supported by experienced RNs and technicians, to deliver effective and compassionate patient care.
  • Documentation: Utilize the Cerner EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and procedures.
Schedule and Details:
  • Shift Type: Varied.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM, with night call and weekend call requirements.
  • Location: Near Oak Harbor, WA.
  • Start Date: ASAP.
  • End Date: Ongoing, with the potential for long-term engagement.
  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with additional compensation for call duties.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist with an active Washington state license.
  • Certifications: BLS and DEA certification required.
  • Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, with a strong emphasis on hepatobiliary and urologic interventions.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
