THE WORK
The GG Java SWE is focused on mission critical system development, deployment and evolution. This role focuses on developing high-quality applications within a Linux environment, emphasizing the integration of DevSecOps practices. The sucsessful candidate will have experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git, as well as familiarity with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, UDP multicast, and command and control systems. The following are the primary functions of the position:
Agile Development:
● Actively participate in Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, to deliver high-quality software in iterative cycles. Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Software Design and Development:
● Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Java for the backend and Angular for the frontend, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
DevSecOps Practices:
●Collaborate with security teams to integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and automated security testing.
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
●Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment processes, ensuring faster and more reliable software delivery.
●Containerization and Orchestration: Utilize Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration, facilitating seamless deployment, scaling, and management of applications within cloud environments.
Version Control:
●Manage source code using Git, employing effective branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews to ensure high code quality.
Networking Technologies:
●Leverage knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, UDP multicast, and command and control systems, to ensure efficient communication and data flow within applications.
Collaboration:
●Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and operations, to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions that meet user needs.
●Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and architecture, promoting best practices and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team.
Continuous Improvement:
●Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for best
Basic Qualifications:
● Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
●Possess all capabilities as defined by the GG Statement of work (SOW) Appendix B for the USG standard SWE labor category level 2

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $114,100 - $218,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
