Metrics LLC is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer **** as we compete for a contract to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA) Modernization and Technology Support (VMTS) initiative. This role is essential in delivering modernization and technology solutions, such as SharePoint integration, AI-driven applications, and workflow automation, to enhance the VAAA's training programs and operational efficiency. As part of this position, you will develop, maintain, and support applications and tools that align with the VA’s mission and strategic goals. This is a remote position with opportunities to work on impactful federal projects.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust web and software applications to support VAAA's modernization efforts, ensuring compliance with VA standards and regulations.
Implement AI-driven solutions, such as chatbots and task automation, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Develop and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of applications and systems.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, design documents, and training materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful project execution.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality solutions.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and provide recommendations to improve system performance and reliability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 10 years of hands-on experience in software or web development, with proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C#, .NET, or similar).
Experience with AI tools and technologies, such as machine learning frameworks, generative AI, or automation solutions.
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and other cloud-based platforms.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps principles.
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or Software Engineering.
Experience with VA systems or federal IT projects.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Familiarity with database management systems, such as SQL Server or Azure Synapse Analytics.
Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., .NET, AWS, Azure, or Power Platform).
