Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Platform Lead

Position Overview:
The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Platform leader is a pivotal role in managing the roadmap and implementation of Jeffersonrsquo;s web presence, in partnership with Marketing. This includes jeffersonhealth.org, jefferson.edu, jeffersonhealthplans.com, etc. This role is critical to oversee the AEM platform#39;s ongoing roadmap including development, support and administration, and strategic alignment with enterprise goals. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to manage and enhance our AEM solutions. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving the platform#39;s continuous improvement, aligning it with our organizational goals and ensuring its operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will focus its efforts in ensuring collaboration across the various stakeholder groups, end users, and developers to ensure that the AEM platform keeps a focus on stability, scalability, security, and performance of the platform while providing the solutions needed in an agile manner to provide business value to our stakeholders. This role will be an orchestrator of the platform in partnership with our key business stakeholders and the Technical Product Owners [VG1]of each website.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and Administrative Platform Oversight: Oversee and plan technical guidance and development support for AEM production applications. Ensure development best practices, communicate and address health check development gaps, and plan transition from custom tables to out-of-the-box solutions. Ensure peer code reviews occur and participate actively in them. Plan and prepare for yearly platform upgrades, adhering to AEM#39;s recommended best practices. Develop and release updates as per the defined Release Management plan and scope.
Enable Technical and Architectural Leadership: Ensure alignment with AEM Technical and Development best practices, maturing technical governance and documentation standards. Continuously improve technical governance models and script documentation standards. Implement process throughput monitoring using AEM metrics for enhanced reporting and dashboard functionalities. Drive peer code review processes and custom solution architecture planning. Drive architectural leadership for new platform capabilities assessment, fit-for-platform evaluations, solution design, and advanced incident/problem support.
Ensure Operational Leadership: Design and facilitate platform strategy, process improvement, and portfolio governance with Leadership. Define prioritization criteria for platform work, managing the platform#39;s book of work and roadmap. Align resource capacity with development stories and release schedules. Manage platform releases, including communication and messaging for each release. Plan strategically with leadership for business changes (e.g., mergers and acquisitions) and their impact on AEM applications, licensing, and support. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, change management, training, and communication skills. Ability to guide and align teams effectively. High-level problem-solving and analytical skills. Strategic thinking and planning abilities. Capability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment.
Role Continuation and Vision Alignment: Align stakeholders with the platform#39;s goals, outcomes, and key success factors. Develop and manage the strategic plan and roadmap with leadership for the AEM platform. Establish regular stakeholder meetings, risk management, and executive check-ins. Continue to show value realization in the platform, clarifying ROI on various AEM components. Assess and propose new application investments in line with organizational needs. Competencies amp; Requirements: Proven experience managing complex digital platforms. Ability to balance platform technical needs with business requests while keeping a focus on end user experiences. Ability to identify and prioritize business requests and issues. Ability to effectively present ideas and communicate with senior leaders and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds. Flexibility with shifting needs and priorities in an evolving healthcare organization. Previous experience working in a high-paced environment with competing priorities. Attention to detail. Education : Bachelorrsquo;s Degree required.
