Overview The GIS Technician will support forestry operations by utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to collect, manage, analyze, and visualize spatial data. This role involves a wide range of tasks, from data entry and processing to advanced spatial analysis and map production. The technician will work closely with forestry professionals to provide essential geospatial information for decision-making, planning, and monitoring. The position is based out of Salem, Oregon and is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Manage data workflows and field data collection to provide end users with accurate mapping and data information. Consolidate data and information from a variety of users for the development and maintenance of the GIS databases and workflows. Perform updates using the following software systems: ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, Dashboards. Assist with recurring requests for data and maps. Build and maintain scripts including Python and Arcade. Qualifications Knowledge and or experience working with ESRI software and products. At least 2 years of GIS Experience. A.A. Degree in Geography or related field, or GIS Certificate. Forestry or natural resource experience preferred.
