Team (Project) Introduction The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity manages and enhances the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) which resides on one Oracle M8 Supercluster database and thirteen application servers. Our team provides the technical services required to sustain EDW applications to include Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, Architectural Enhancement, and Cloud Migration. 9th Way Insignia is looking for an APEX Developer to join this team. Professional Level Information The APEX Developer aligns to the Engineer 2 professional level within 9th Way Insignia's career families. An Engineer, 2 has a good understanding of the software development life cycle and can take on work without much direction majority of the time. Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer, 2 has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and assists in the resolution of complex problems. An Engineer, 2, has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges. Functional Job (LCAT) Information • Develops, implements, refines, and supports a data warehouse used for analytics and reporting, optimizing ETL processes while working closely with Business Analysts, Business Managers, Project Managers, and internal customers. • Designs, codes, runs tests, and implements complex programs and scripts, and performs source-to-target data mapping. • Reviews and implements project plans and business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies. Responsibilities: Provide daily operational support and maintenance, Experience with upgrading from Oracle Apex 4.0 to 23.x and converting affected applications. Experience with secure network programming in an Oracle environment; use of security certificates, HTTPS callouts, etc. Experience with full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications, including the Oracle APEX toolset Experience with the use of Oracle Integrated Development Environments such as Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer. Experience with JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Experience with PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting with familiarity with built-in PLSQL packages and procedures. Experience with storage, efficient retrieval, and manipulation of unstructured data (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType) in an Oracle environment. Experience establishing goals and meeting project plan objectives. Must be able to write and maintain system documentation on work products. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, Federal Customer interface experience Agile development experience. Other responsibilities as assigned Requirements: Bachelors degree in a technical field. 6 years of additional experience can substitute for a degree. Experience with Oracle APEX 4.0 and above. Experience with Oracle Database products version 11 and above. Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports version 10G or higher. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance Location On site in Washington DC. Salary Range $94,990 - $99,000 USD 9th Way Insignia's range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
