Division Overview:

Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Location:

State-of-the-art, high speed manufacturing facility located in Bowling Green, KY manufactures specialty beverage cans for some of the top consumer product companies. 

Position Overview:

This position will trouble-shoot, repair, program, replace, maintain and install electrical/electronic systems for production related equipment and building utilities within this high-speed state-of-the-art metal packaging manufacturing facility. Equipment includes body makers, printers, washers as well as other packaging machinery. Responsibilities include following all local, state and federal electrical codes. Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems are also required. These positions will also provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions. Responsibilities also include installing and maintaining new and existing electrical wiring within the facility.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Complete S.A.F.E observations monthly, (1)
  • Follow all state and federal electrical codes
  • Install AC/DC drives, motors and circuits
  • Complete project tasks including installation and/or upgrading equipment, programming PLC’s, etc.
  • Develop/follow standard operating procedures for area
  • Train new department team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Requirements for this position would include but not be limited to the following:

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley/Omron/Direct Logic PLC's are required as well as integrated Window software to analyze AC/DC, single phase and 3 phase generators and AC/DC motors, relays, switches, breaker transformers, and power panels.
  • Knowledge of single and 3-phase up to 440 volt.
  • This position also requires the individual to be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.
  • Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment.
  • The ability to travel domestically for training within the first one or two months with the Company.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.

Preferred Requirements

  • An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (state electrical license, journeyman license, etc.).
  • Working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 
  • The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus

Working Conditions

  • Generally works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic 
  • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
  • The noise level is frequently loud
