We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified

Information Assurance Analyst

to support critical cybersecurity functions and ensure the security and compliance of Department of Defense (DoD) systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Navy Information Assurance (IA) or cybersecurity functions and will play a key role in maintaining and improving the security posture of DoD IT systems.

In this position, you will work with a team of experts to ensure compliance with IA standards, support system security, and assist with cybersecurity risk management activities. You will also help implement security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information across various IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct information assurance assessments and audits to ensure compliance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulations. Perform system security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing remediation actions to enhance security. Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls for DoD IT systems, ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and related cybersecurity requirements. Assist in the development, review, and implementation of system security documentation, including Security Authorization Packages (SAPs), Security Test Plans (STPs), and other required reports. Collaborate with other cybersecurity professionals to address security incidents and mitigate risks to sensitive systems. Work with the Command Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure cybersecurity measures are aligned with DoD IA policies and procedures. Provide recommendations and guidance to system owners on enhancing security posture and meeting cybersecurity requirements. Ensure continuous compliance with DoD 8140.03-M Cyber Work Force (CWF) standards, including maintaining certification status. Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities to apply best practices and improve the security posture of DoD IT systems. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience:

At least one (1) year of relevant experience performing Navy Information Assurance (IA) or cybersecurity functions. Certifications:

One of the following certifications required:

CompTIA Security+ (SEC+CE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CAP), EC-Council Network Security Administrator Certification (ENSA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), GIAC - Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Clearance:

Active TS/SCI clearance required. Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Navy and DoD cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory frameworks. Experience with security tools, risk management frameworks, and vulnerability management. Strong understanding of IA and cybersecurity best practices, including security control frameworks and risk assessments. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
