Position Summary:
Responsible for planning and preparing for the surgical procedure and assisting the surgeon. Responsible for sterilization of surgical equipment and to assemble scheduled and emergency case carts.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrates correct Materials Management (instruments, sponges, needles, etc.) Displays various transfer techniques with sharps, as needed. Counting of surgical objects as required per policy. Accountability and care of surgical specimens. Consistently practices procedures to protect self and others and adheres to OSHA exposure plan guidelines. Qualifications
Requirements: High school graduate or GED required. Graduate of an approved Surgical Technical Program or on the job scrub tech training required. Six (6) months experience preferred BLS certification required. Good communication skills. Basic computer skills required. EEO Statement
