Vice President, Software Engineering

The Vice President of Engineering will lead an engineering team inclusive of back-end engineers, front-end engineers, and DevOps to drive innovation, ensure best-in-class engineering practices, and scale technical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the engineering team. Drive the engineering roadmap to support product development and customer success goals. Ensure alignment between engineering efforts and business objectives, delivering scalable solutions on time and within budget. Champion agile methodologies and processes to ensure high performance, transparency, and predictability across engineering teams. Implement and manage tools and processes for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) with an emphasis on test-driven development (TDD). Own platform reliability and scalability to ensure high availability and performance for enterprise customers. Ensure adherence to SOC procedures and maintain compliance standards, serving as a role model for security and compliance across the organization. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-quality enterprise software systems and services using Python, AWS, and serverless infrastructure. Lead the organization’s efforts in CI/CD, automated testing, and other engineering best practices, ensuring a robust and reliable codebase. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Qualifications: 10+ years software engineering experience 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams with 25+ engineers Proficiency in Python, with experience in architecting scalable systems on AWS. Proven success leading engineering in a startup enterprise SaaS environment, ideally one that scales products using cloud- and serverless technologies. Recent experience leading strategic initiatives at a fast-paced, high-growth enterprise SaaS company. Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from planning and architecture to testing, deployment, and maintenance. AI/ML experience Familiarity with front-end development (UI/UX) and DevOps best practices is a plus. Demonstrable experience of championing the customer experience, deeply understanding customer needs, and driving product decisions that prioritize delivering exceptional value. Must live in a commutable distance to Boston
