POSITION DESCRIPTION The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Program Specialist to join our team of professionals. Duties Include: Provides support and facilitates activities, tasks, and assignments for Curriculum Focuses Group and Primary Care fourth year electives throughout the four years of medical school, including arranging space, creating, and maintaining relevant faculty and student databases and files, assisting with course email communications, and gathering and assisting with the preparation of course material. Assists with the presence and maintenance of course and elective syllabi, student material and records, on the educational information technology systems. Prepares and organizes course and program meetings, including gathering agenda items, sending out meeting reminders, reviewing faculty calendars for availability, taking and distributing meeting minutes. Provides administrative support in the classroom, including assisting with the preparation of course materials, collecting and distributing assignments, and transcribing evaluations. Maintains faculty calendars for teaching assignments and student meetings, reminds faculty of upcoming meetings, and notifies them of key changes. Assists with organizing course/program orientations for faculty, preceptors and students, including gathering, preparing and distributing materials, and facilitating follow-up items. Assists in administrating exams and setting-up didactic sessions for the Primary Care fourth year electives. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of office or related experience coordinating functions of an office or department.
