As the General Manager at The Wildbirch Hotel, you will create a space where hospitality transcends service to become an authentic Alaska adventure. You will lead with vision and passion, connecting guests to the vibrant culture, natural beauty, and artistic heritage of Anchorage. Your role is to inspire a team that delivers world-class service, embraces local art and culture, and fosters a sense of community among guests and locals alike. ABOUT THE ROLE Responsibilities As General Manager, you will embody The Wildbirch Hotel's unique identity as an authentic, design-forward, and adventure-centric property in downtown Anchorage. You will oversee all hotel operations, ensuring financial success, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement. You’ll lead with a focus on delivering the full spectrum of Alaska adventure, connecting guests to local art, culture, and outdoor experiences. Scope of Work + Team

Manage departments including Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Finance and Food & Beverage, ensuring alignment with The Wildbirch Hotel’s vision and strategic objectives. Drive revenue, manage costs, and maintain high levels of guest and team satisfaction. Collaborate closely with leadership teams in Revenue, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and People & Culture to optimize the hotel’s performance. Engage with the Anchorage community and position The Wildbirch Hotel as a dynamic and inclusive gathering place for both visitors and locals. Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Ongoing + Everyday Tasks

Financial Management : Oversee forecasts, budgets, and business plans; ensure adherence to financial goals and capital improvement plans. Property Oversight : Perform regular inspections to monitor cleanliness, cost control, and overall quality of service and facilities. People Leadership : Lead by example, fostering a culture of trust, cooperation, and excellence; coach and develop your team to provide outstanding guest experiences. Business Acumen : Explore new business opportunities and curate unique experiences that celebrate the local culture and Alaska adventure. Service Strategy : Ensure that service at The Wildbirch Hotel reflects the commitment to surprise and delight guests, embrace local partnerships, and foster a sense of community. QUALIFICATIONS

Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Exceptional customer service, sales, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations while maintaining focus on financial and operational goals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for fostering human connection, teamwork, and cultural immersion. Experience in managing hotel operations, driving revenue, and creating unique guest experiences. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with the hotel’s 24/7 operations. Serve as an exceptional leader, community builder, adventure facilitator, and cultural ambassador. Ensure that every aspect of service aligns with The Wildbirch Hotel’s mission to connect guests with local art, culture, and outdoor adventure, creating memorable and meaningful experiences.
