Goleta, CA – Office-Hybrid The Role The Sr. Manager of Product Engineering is a team leader with technical competency in footwear creation, last development, fit, and comfort for all genders. The ideal candidate has leadership capabilities, is analytical, and solution driven with the ability to integrate needs from the Brand, Design, Product Development and the global teams. This role will be: Leading product engineering team to deliver against global fit, wear testing and comfort optimization initiatives. Guiding the product creation process through optimal engineering in tooling review and pattern making while managing fit expectations with the triad. Delivering fit and comfort excellence across footwear in all genders, ensuring new product meets the fit and comfort standards of the global brand. Spearheading evaluation of consumer fit expectations against industry benchmarks. Evolving the UGG footwear product engineering landscape, optimizing the global matrixed resource through global governance of UGG fit, wear and comfort standards and processes. Delivering fit and comfort excellence across footwear in all genders, ensuring new product meets the fit and comfort standards of the global brand. Leading product engineering team to deliver against global fit, wear testing and comfort initiatives. Who You Are A leader with the technical knowledge of fit, last development, biomechanics and a passion for fashion/lifestyle footwear. A clear and effective communicator with the ability to motivate global stakeholders. An analytical mind which is bigger picture orientated and can review the landscape and provide scalable process improvements. We’d love to hear from people with Bachelor’s degree with background in product test design and analysis, biomechanical, mechanical or industrial engineering, or equivalent. 10+ years’ experience in the footwear industry and/or in a context where research, data collection, and results analysis were significant part of the job duties. 5+ years in a leadership role within the footwear industry for a global company. Advanced knowledge in footwear product creation, product testing, and biomechanics. Proficient in shoe last making and/or shoe manufacturing. Advanced knowledge in footwear product constructions. Advanced knowledge in using data analytics to provide quantifiable results. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft, Adobe Applications and database and surveying software such as Qualtrics or equivalents. Proficient in FPLM (or similar); demonstrated skills in Adobe Creative Suite. Mastery of fit measurement tools such as Brannock device, 3D foot scanner, last jack, caliper, durometer tester, last stick, profile gauge, etc. What We'll Give You Competitive Pay and Bonuses -

Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
