Full job description
The Head of Accounting will oversee all financial operations, manage the accounting team, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting and finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare compilation of financial reports for clients. Get in touch with clients and review financials, ensuring that reports and books are correct and updated. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve accounting processes, including implementing AI and streamlining processes in our firm. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate audits and tax filings. Provide financial leadership and support for strategic planning, business development, and operational decision-making. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, AppFolio) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Benefits:
