Description
The Worldwide Procurement Finance group creates and provides analytical support for critical cost data, including standard costs, forecasted costs, and actual costs for Apple. This position reports to the Manager of Commodity Financial Management. Key responsibilities include:
Preparation of key commodity forecasts used in monthly purchase price variance forecast and gross margin analysis.
Provide support and guidance to operations personnel as issues arise related to the supply chain or business processes.
Reconciliation of actual costs to forecasted costs for key commodities supply chain analysis.
Reconciliation and analysis of Apple supply chain data to contract manufacturer and supplier data.
Preparation of quarter end accounting entries necessary for accurately representing the cost of key commodities in the financial statements.
Other ad hoc requests related to the supply chain business process reengineering.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of relevant finance experience.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or other related field.
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years related finance/accounting experience.
Passion for information design (proficiency in Tableau, Dataiku a plus).
Proficiency in SQL, Filemaker, R, Python, SAS, SAP BPC, etc. a plus.
Capable of clearly communicating complex analyses to a non-technical audience.
Ability to initiate, refine, and complete projects with minimal guidance.
Critical thinking: able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
