Brief Job Description Crane Creek Country Club seeks an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its leadership team. The CFO will be a key contributor to the club's long-term success, responsible for driving financial strategy, maintaining fiscal health, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role demands strong leadership, innovative problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with the executive team and department heads to achieve the club’s strategic objectives. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, cash flow management, investments, tax compliance, and financial reporting. They will play a vital role in aligning financial planning with the club’s mission and vision, fostering a culture of fiscal responsibility, and delivering exceptional value to the club’s members and stakeholders. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred. CPA or Certified Hospitality Accounting Executive (CHAE) designation is highly desirable. A minimum of 5-7 years of financial management experience, with at least two years in a leadership role (CFO, Controller, or similar) in the club, hospitality, or non-profit sector. Proven ability to supervise and develop accounting teams. Experience with financial management systems such as Northstar, Jonas or Clubessential is preferred. Strong knowledge of 501(c)(7) not-for-profit financial regulations and best practices. Job Summary The CFO will provide expert financial leadership for Crane Creek Country Club, focusing on aligning financial management with the club’s operational and strategic goals. This includes overseeing accounting practices, ensuring robust internal controls, and delivering accurate financial reporting. The CFO will also collaborate with the General Manager, Board, and department leaders to enhance decision-making and financial performance while exploring opportunities for innovation and growth. Primary Responsibilities Financial Management and Reporting Lead all financial operations, including accounting, internal controls, budgeting, and cash flow management. Develop and present accurate financial statements and analyses to inform strategic decision-making. Coordinate with department heads and committees to prepare and manage operating and capital budgets. Provide long-term financial modeling and forecasting to support the club’s strategic vision. Oversee member billing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounts receivable management. Audit and Compliance Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audit standards. Work closely with external auditors to resolve any discrepancies and ensure sound financial practices. Team Leadership Supervise and mentor the accounting and payroll staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team. Develop training programs to enhance financial literacy among department heads. Oversee employee benefit programs and manage 401(k) plan administration. Risk Management and Internal Controls Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity. Manage the selection and administration of insurance policies to protect the club’s assets. Oversee investment strategies to align with financial goals and operational needs. Technology and Systems Oversight Evaluate and implement financial management technologies to improve operational efficiency and reporting. Maintain and enhance IT systems related to financial processes, including accounting, POS, and membership software. Board and Member Interaction Serve as a key advisor to the Board and Finance Committee, delivering timely reports and actionable insights. Attend committee meetings, addressing financial inquiries and providing strategic guidance. Communicate effectively with members on financial matters, addressing concerns with transparency and professionalism. Additional Contributions Diversity and Inclusion:
