RAVN provides combat or high maneuver training for pilots, RDT&E, and maintenance services with its fully owned fleet of aircraft.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of Logistics & Trade Compliance to lead our logistics operations and ensure strict adherence to all trade compliance regulations. This role will report to our COO and manage end-to-end logistics for our fleet and programs while ensuring compliance with all relevant U.S. and international trade laws. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of import/export regulations, logistics management, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.

Logistics Leadership:
Develop, manage, and optimize RAVN’s logistics and supply chain strategies to support both domestic and international operations.
Oversee the procurement, transportation, and distribution of parts, equipment, and supplies required for RAVN’s programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers, and logistics partners to streamline operations.
Trade Compliance Management:
Ensure full compliance with U.S. export and import laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, and customs requirements.
Conduct regular risk assessments to evaluate potential compliance risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations, proactively updating relevant internal departments and adapting policies as needed.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all necessary import/export documentation, including shipping invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and reports.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required filings and regulatory reports to relevant government agencies.
Policy Development and Training:
Develop, maintain, and implement trade compliance policies, programs, and procedures across the organization.
Conduct training sessions for employees on trade compliance requirements and logistics best practices, ensuring company-wide awareness and adherence.
Audits, Investigations, and Reporting:
Conduct regular internal audits to assess and improve trade compliance and logistics practices.
Lead investigations and resolution processes for any compliance issues or violations.
Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies as needed to address compliance matters.
Vendor and Supplier Compliance:
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure their compliance with trade regulations.
Review and approve international shipping documentation from vendors to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with the legal, procurement, and contracts teams to ensure alignment on logistics and trade compliance matters.
Act as the primary point of contact for trade compliance inquiries from internal teams and external partners, facilitating smooth operations across departments.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and trade compliance, preferably in a regulated industry.
Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and customs requirements.
Familiarity with Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), DSP-5, DSP-61, and related applications.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
