Summary:
In this role, you will be a highly skilled and experienced Senior Editor that will ensure that all material produced by staff consistently adheres to company style and reflects a high degree of literacy, consistency, clarity, and accuracy. You will be responsible for writing, editing, project management, and collaborating with various teams to produce high-quality content in American Medical Association (AMA) style.
Responsibilities:
Content Development and Editing:
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and edit content for collateral materials, ensuring that all products meet editorial guidelines and business needs. Brainstorm with department staff to gather background information and manage copy deadlines. Provide editorial advice and guidance to staff writers and instruct freelance writers to ensure the proper development of deliverables. Quality Control:
Conduct copy edits to ensure factual correctness, accuracy, and clarity, while making the writing concise and consistent. Perform edits, including reorganizing content, making significant additions or deletions and ensuring that the product meets its goals. Review and evaluate the editing and proofreading work done by freelancers, answering their queries and providing constructive feedback. Proofread final materials and answer staff queries, recommending and enforcing standards for consistent written style and usage. Project Management:
Efficiently use the company's enterprise-wide document management system to track and manage content. Provide assistance with content, ensuring clear and effective communication of information to staff and members. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards of quality. Qualifications:
Relevant degree in marketing, communications, business, or related discipline preferred. 5 or more years of relevant experience is required. MS office, SharePoint, OneDrive, Adobe suite, or similar products highly preferred. Graphic design experience is a bonus. A portfolio of work will need to be provided upon interview request. Willingness to travel if needed.

Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $109,700.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
