Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY The Donor Engagement Manager plans and manages all aspects of CRSS philanthropy, including donor relations, annual campaigns, grants, and major giving. With the support of the Vice President of Philanthropy, the Manager will develop an annual philanthropy plan with goals and fundraising targets based on six metrics: meaningful contacts, qualifications, solicitations, dollars solicited, dollars raised, and gifts closed. Performance is reviewed monthly with the Vice President of Philanthropy. This position reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy at the Catholic Charities Central Office. The Manager will attend strategic meetings for CRSS, communicate with the CEO and leadership team, and travel locally for donor visits and meetings at the Central Office. PAY RANGE $72,000-$80,000/year DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage all aspects of the CRSS donor portfolio, from identification and cultivation to solicitation and stewardship. Ensure donors receive acknowledgments and assist with tax credit applications. Oversee the grants portfolio and work with a contracted grant writer. Plan and execute annual campaigns and donor engagement events. Use CRM technology to manage the donor portfolio. Update the CRSS Board of Directors on philanthropy targets at quarterly meetings. Connect donors and prospects with volunteer opportunities. Prioritize donor relationship management with flexible scheduling. Perform additional duties as required. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. At least five years of experience in outside sales, prospect management, donor cultivation, and solicitation. Successful experience building relationships through face-to-face interactions. Experience planning and executing fundraising campaigns. Basic understanding of planned giving and legacy gifts. Effective writing and speaking skills. Experience using CRM platforms to manage donor information (Raisers Edge preferred). Experience working across teams and reporting lines. Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation. SKILLS & ATTITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and interpret donor intentions. Confidence and desire to ask for financial support for CRSS and Catholic Charities. Creativity, strong organization, prioritization, and strategic thinking. Self-starter and team player. Adaptability and willingness to accept change. RELATIONSHIPS REQUIREMENTS The Donor Engagement Manager must develop collaborative relationships with colleagues at CRSS and the Catholic Charities Central Office, as well as genuine relationships with donors that result in financial support.
