POSITION OVERVIEW
As Merchandise Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our assortment and inventory strategy. This role requires a strong product sense with proven experience in driving strategic merchandise plans and partnering with divisional leaders to lead investment strategies that align with our business objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES SALES PLANNING
Own weekly and monthly sales plan by channel Present weekly and monthly sales to plan and present to team leads
REPORTING & ANALYSIS
Create and manage reporting weekly/monthly on department & category levels Ownership of collection/seasonal performance and hindsight (Hits, Misses, Risks, Opportunities) Seasonal KPI reporting by department, collection & channel Initiate conversations on potentials risks within departments / categories Analyze KPI productivity and work closely to optimize inventory and sales potential
INVENTORY AND OTB MANAGEMENT
Propose and maintain balance of seasonal, core and carryover inventory Assist in sales plan and inventory plan for new store openings Manage annual and monthly sales plan and receipt plan by location and/or categories Help lead OTB forecast process within Planning team with trends, opportunities, validating stock to sales and maximizing receipt flow Maintain OTB inventory levels to support sales plan
SEASONAL BUDGET
Propose seasonal budget and work closely with merchandising to create category budgets per collection/season Perform and present pre-season analysis, plans and final roll to stakeholders
REPLENISHMENT
Provide replenishment targets in order to maintain OTB levels by category Re-forecast replenishment demand monthly and propose & execute buys in consideration of lead times Lead meeting and submit forecasts to cross-functional partners for visibility
ABOUT YOU 5-7 years of merchandise planning experience High level of conceptual creative ability. Strong product sense with proven experience in driving product assortments and partnering with divisional leaders to lead investment strategies that drive business Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel Embraces a culture of learning and advocacy Has lived experiences with people from different backgrounds and diverse teams Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
