We are seeking an experienced
Vice President of Asset Management
to oversee and optimize a growing portfolio of housing assets. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will guide a talented team, develop strategies to maximize portfolio performance, and collaborate across multiple departments to ensure operational success. What You'll Do: Lead the Asset Management Team : Provide mentorship, training, and strategic direction to asset managers and analysts. Optimize Portfolio Performance : Develop and oversee budgets, operational strategies, and capital improvement plans to ensure financial health and long-term sustainability. Ensure Compliance : Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and regulatory agencies while ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and deadlines. Financial Leadership : Direct the financial performance of the portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking critical metrics such as occupancy rates, debt service coverage, and vacancy trends. Foster strategic relationships with financial stakeholders, ensuring all reporting requirements are met with precision. Maintain compliance with funding and regulatory standards, including monitoring deadlines for contracts, subsidies, and financial obligations tied to funding sources. Plan and implement capital and property improvement initiatives, managing reserve allocations to optimize long-term asset value. Drive Collaboration : Partner with internal teams like finance, development, and property management to integrate asset management practices into overall corporate objectives. Enhance Property Operations : Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost savings, and property improvements. Mitigate Risk : Oversee risk management processes, including property insurance, legal compliance, and regulatory adherence. Communicate with Stakeholders : Deliver accurate and timely reports to investors and stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships. What We’re Looking For: 12+ years of leadership experience in asset management, property management, or real estate development. Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Proven ability to manage regulatory compliance, including HUD and LIHTC programs. Experience with managing Year 15 compliance projects and investor exits. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage with boards and external partners. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Ability to travel within California Region up to 25% of the time. Why Join Us?
