Overview
The Senior Manager role is responsible for managing the development and implementation of training curriculum for US Commercial field members, with a specific focus on Market Access and Strategic Accounts Management (SAM). This person will have responsibility for strategic planning and implementation of world-class products and skill-based training via eLearning, live meetings, virtual training, and on-demand training courses. Responsibilities include the management of Market Access and SAM training curriculum, the development and approvals of training materials and compliant execution of training programs. The Senior Manager will collaborate cross-functionally in a matrix organization with commercial leadership, field force, marketing, access, head-quarter teams, medical, legal, and external vendors; facilitate group discussion in determining the training needs and deliverables for the Market Access and SAM teams.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate all cross functional training sessions in both live and virtual environments
Work in partnership with other Commercial Training & Development colleagues to ensure consistency of design and execution of training initiatives
Partner with Market Access and SAM key stakeholders, including training team, marketing team, and field leaders, to ensure training content is relevant for all training needs across all phases of training
Maintain and improve commercial training programs for field-based teams that are strategically aligned to the Alnylam culture and business objectives
Develops and maintains a strong trusted advisor relationship with the commercial functions, ensuring the training strategy is integrated into business requirements and delivers business outcomes
Design and implement commercial training programs for field-based teams that are strategically aligned to the Alnylam culture and business objectives of Market Access and SAM
Select, develop, and manage relationships with vendors/partners
Design and implement new training and development programs on the basis of training needs analysis outcomes and in partnership with the Market Access and SAM leadership teams
Responsible for the development of classroom training programs, eLearning modules live and virtual Zoom training
Build and implement post training tools to analyze training effectiveness and work with cross functional teams to continually improve training curriculum to meet organizational needs
Manage simultaneous learning projects and meet deadlines, with the ability to build learning content and collaborate on content reuse across multiple stakeholders
Collaborating across work streams to build training for National Kickoff Meetings, Regional POA meetings, Market Access and SAM team meetings
Manage the review of materials to ensure that training meets compliance, regulatory, legal, and medical requirements, incorporate all appropriate stakeholder requirements, and ensure approved, compliant training
Drives continuous improvement of training curriculum
Ensure transparent communication with internal stakeholders
Build and implement post training tools to communicate with stakeholders on impact and value
Proactively learns new digital learning technologies, and new adult learning methods
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Knowledge on payer and reimbursement experience
Knowledge on strategic accounts
Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Commercial Strategic Accounts and Market Access experience preferred
Experience in training Strategic Accounts, Field Reimbursement Directors, National Account Leads, and Regional Account Leads populations preferred
Minimum of 4 years training experience in a headquarters role or as a field trainer is required
Demonstrated project management and process improvement skills
Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills working with cross-functional teams to build training that strengthens the talent within the organization
Fundamental knowledge of adult learning principles preferred
Strong platform/presentation/facilitation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills, including MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Ability to travel up to 20%
