Supervisor, Gas Field Operations

Job Purpose Our Gas Supervisors at National Grid play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our gas operations. These positions are responsible for the safety and security of our various gas distribution systems and ensuring compliance with safety standards, policies, and processes. Customer Meter Services Supervisor Implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety, reliability, security, and integrity of natural gas customers' premises and the Company's distribution system. Monitor and enforce work rules, standards, and procedures for emergency response, leak investigation, and other scheduled work. Respond to natural gas emergencies and coordinate with other Company emergency response personnel, Emergency Response Agencies, Regulators, and the Police and Fire Departments. Support achievement of operational targets, budget goals, emergency response, and safety. Ensure safe working conditions are maintained through field inspections of work sites and equipment. Construction & Maintenance Supervisor Support the construction and commissioning of new assets onto the gas transmission system. Authorize permission documents and undertake the role of Site Controller. Identify the requirement to replace/upgrade existing plant and equipment. Act as onsite incident supervisor during planned and emergency situations. Manage allocated resources to produce cost-effective, customer-focused, and efficient service within budget. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred along with related operations work experience, including supervision of others. 3-8 years of construction experience highly preferred (C&M Supervisor), otherwise, 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role required. Prior leadership experience with a focus on Construction, Field Operations, or Customer Field Services preferred. Technical knowledge of distribution systems, engineering, construction, and/or maintenance practices preferred. Effective communication skills, including the ability to make persuasive presentations. Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional Requirements Valid Driver's License Required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy. Participate in on-call or after-hour supervisory duties.
