The

Operations Director

is a senior leadership position for the MPOB/IRP business at Ingersoll Rand and is responsible for leading the growth and transformation of our manufacturing operations. The position will provide hands-on leadership to associates while driving and improving capabilities of new and existing processes and equipment. This role is responsible for driving key performance metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP) while ensuring continuous improvement and achieving targets. Key Responsibilities:

Achieve high standards of operational excellence, meeting monthly targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, and Cost. Drive margin expansion through structured approaches to materials and labor productivity improvement. Implement operational excellence principles like visual management, A3 problem solving, standard work, and 5S. Manage Quality System, ensuring manufacturing and supplier quality meet customer satisfaction goals. Manage operating costs within budget guidelines, adjusting expenses based on demand. Effectively coach, train, and develop employees while driving operational excellence and lean transformation. Optimize plant layout and capacity, minimizing resource and cost requirements. Drive year-over-year improvements in employee engagement and safety. Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain, with a minimum 8 years of experience as a Plant Manager or similar manufacturing leadership roles. 5 years experience of leading a team of varying levels. Global leadership experience preferred. Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including understanding key financial statements. Track record of leadership capability in “Lean” systems including Daily Management, Kaizen, and structured Problem-Solving processes. Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP. Expertise in CNC manufacturing and injection-moulding is a plus. Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Based on-site at our facility in Alsip, IL, (greater Chicago) with a travel expectation of up to 25% to visit other Ingersoll Rand plants, customers, and suppliers, as needed. Key Competencies
