Inventory Lead | QR | 1st Shift Position Overview
Shaw Industries - Savannah is recruiting for an Inventory Lead to efficiently monitor inventory levels within the distribution facility. Adhere to normal work schedule Must be able to work overtime as needed Comply with company attendance policy Must have reliable transportation Must be able to travel between buildings to complete inventory cycles Complete daily lift inspections on PIT Follow the procedures for locating and removing pallets from rack locations. Assist in tapping any damaged boxes found in bins when needed. Follow all Sox requirements. Monitor clerk efficiency. Physically verify all large discrepancies before making adjustments Must audit hard surface exceptions report. Must complete cycle monthly. Must report inventory errors to the inventory support analyst for investigation. Report any spills or leaks immediately. Report unsafe conditions to the supervisor. (Leaning bins, damaged wall…etc.) Perform other duties as assigned by Management Physically cycle all locations throughout the warehouse to: Identify discrepancies in product location, type, style or color Identify units of measure (box, sheet, each, etc.) Identify dye-lots Perform recounts as needed Move product if deemed necessary Must be able to identify and communicate issues out of clerk’s control and seek help from lead or supervisor Must be able to rename pallets Must be able to take ownership of assigned locations Must be able to accurately communicate with leads and management Must be able to handle inventory tasks assigned by supervisor Responsible for equipment assigned Make sure equipment is in proper working order Make sure to have necessary supplies before starting task Be active participant in root cause analysis of issues Identify and report any damages to physical bins or rack locations Identify and report damaged or missing rack labels Physical Requirements:
Walk, stand, bend, or reach throughout the duration of a shift. Mount/Dismount lift truck repeatedly while using three points of contact. Work in a warehouse environment which may range in temperature. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must cooperate with team lift builds. Knowledge/Skills:
Able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must have basic math skills Operate all PIT when needed. Operate the Pedestal wrapper. Must operate Invar system (Inventory) Must operate Vista Must operate handhelds or Tablet Responsible for maintaining safety equipment including but not limited to, safety glasses, gloves, vests, scissors and propane changing PPE. Must maintain own radio Responsible for maintaining their handheld scanner and safety harness Must maintain the inventory pushcart Safety/Training Requirements:
Follow cone procedure for warehouse safety while cycling. Complete E-Learnings as required Must be trained on scissor lift Must have golf cart training Adhere to hard surface pallet handling procedures Adhere to all rack rules Complete Lift Truck Operator training program Complete all SAFE required training, quality training and/or other job-related training Must wear required PPE Understand and follow traffic flow for safe operation Annual FTZ training. Always maintain a safe and clean work area. Report all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately. Always wear Shaw issued work badge visible. Comply with all plant and department safety rules and regulations. Comply with all Shaw Savannah policies & procedures.
