Position Details: Schedule: Monday through Friday 6-8 hours per day Practice Setting: Outpatient Trauma Level: 3 EMR: EPIC Average Number of Patients Per Day: 25 Reason for Coverage: Vacation coverage Required Duties: As a Wound Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive wound management. Key responsibilities include: Treating skin reactions Preventing skin breakdown Managing vascular ulcers, pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers Initiating preventative measures Applying topical therapies Educating patients and their support on care techniques Assessing and treating draining wounds and fistulae Designing pouch systems for draining wounds and fistulae Implementing preventative actions to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers and vascular ulcers Providing instruction on proper wound dressing Educating patients on ulcer prevention and treatment Hyperbaric treatments Types of Wounds Treated: Our comprehensive wound care program covers a wide range of wound types, including: Acute wounds Surgical wounds Traumatic wounds Non-healing wounds Ulcers Chronic venous insufficiency Gangrene Radiation injury Burns Treatment Modalities Used: To ensure the best outcomes for our patients, we utilize advanced treatment modalities such as: Bioengineered skin Debridement Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) Incision and drainage Negative pressure-assisted wound closure Post-surgical incision management Unna boot Total contact casting Rates to Submit: We offer competitive rates for your expertise, including: Malpractice Orientation Hourly Holiday hourly Overtime Holiday overtime Submission Requirements: Board Certification/Board Eligibility: Required Active OR License: Required Clean Background/No Malpractice: Highly preferred Availability: Must be available for at least 1 week Credentialing Requirements: Successful completion of an approved residency training program At least 2 successful basic sharp wound debridements within the past 12 months Certification Requirements: Board Certified State License Requirements: Oregon Be Part of Our Wound Care Excellence!
