SkyWater is searching for an Industrial Security Specialist - Staff to assist the Industrial Security Manager (FSO) in development, implementation, maintenance, and execution of security procedures. This role will be crucial in SkyWater's ability to procure and maintain relationships with customers within various industries including the U.S Government.

Responsibilities:
  • Administering government security program management systems, including Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), Defense Information Security System (DISS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), Defense Information System, National Industrial Security System (NISS) and Security Information Management System (SIMS) databases.
  • Assist the Industrial Security Manager (FSO) with the overall Industrial Security program and assigned as the Acting FSO in the FSO's absence.
  • Work with candidates to obtain/maintain security clearance records.
  • Provide security briefings, debriefings, and security training for site personnel.
  • Support security education classes and related briefings.
  • Assist with Insider Threat program
  • Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
  • Understand government policy and directives to be able to apply solutions to complex tasks/challenges/assignments that follow policy.
  • Create/Maintain/Enhance integrity of personnel and procedures (SOP) required to protect classified and sensitive information and material per the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Perform or assist in self-inspections and reviews of security processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Perform administrative security support functions such as security compliance audits, inventory checks, etc.
  • Assist in shipments and courier events.
  • This position is 100% on-site. Responsibilities sometime require working evenings and weekends and in some cases with little to no advance notice.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of equivalent work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years working directly in a U.S. Government Security career field
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Experience with the 32CFR National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements and the practical implementation of requirements.
  • Experience in program security, with knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, personnel security, physical security, visitor control, etc.).
  • Experience with government security program management, including Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), Defense Information Security System (DISS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), Defense Information System, National Industrial Security System (NISS).
  • Administrative experience tracking and record keeping
  • Experience with security compliance auditing and compliance
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers, security peers and program management team members.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and gain consensus from stakeholders on solutions to security problems.
  • Security Clearance: A Secret security clearance is required on hire. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance and pass a polygraph.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to occasionally lift 25 or more pounds, carry boxes, be able to wear a clean suit in a clean room for several hours and occasionally required to stoop, crouch or crawl.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Security, Intelligence, or Law Enforcement field
  • Minimum of 2 years working as a Facility Security Officer (FSO/AFSO) or equivalent role.
  • Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities, ITPSO, and other applicable FSO training programs.
  • Semiconductor industry, Manufacturing, or similar experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the 32 CFR, ICDs, and DoD Directives required.
  • Experience in Industrial Security and/or Government Contracts.
  • Security Clearance: A current Top Secret security clearance.

The annual salary range for this role is $73,440 - $110,160. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
