The Role:
The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) is the critical first line manager responsible for implementing Alani Nu / PRIME's field marketing program in a specific market. The FMM is responsible for approximately eight (8) Field Marketing Ambassadors in each market, and is accountable for all facets of their management,including recruiting, on-boarding, planning, motivation and day-to-day administration. In addition, the FMM also provides oversight of the market's collegiate ambassador program and support of relevant, local market event opportunities.
The goal of the FMM is to build brand awareness, drive trial, and increase product usage in the home market. This is done primarily by ensuring a fun, fully mobile and available team of FMA's who deliver our premium product to consumer during key moments-of-need:

Key Responsibilities:
- Alani Nu and PRIME Sampling Program
- Recruiting: Build a team of Field Marketing Ambassadors (FMAs) that consistently make an impact on the territory via quality sampling and consumer interactions
- Recruit and maintain a quality team of 3-4 FMAs (part time, hourly) that personify the Alani Nu/PRIME brands, reflects the local market, and delivers against the FMAs Performance Profile
- Utilize existing tactics and develop new best practice in hiring the best FMAs for Alani Nu and PRIME sampling programs
- Maintain the appropriate number of FMAs with sufficient availability for work hours to meet our targeted consumer collecting goals for the home market
- Adhere to HR policies for new FMA recruits (background checks, admin.)
- Training: Become a product, brand & sampling expert to best train FMAs to be successful in the field, according to the FMA Performance Expectations
- Conduct Alani Nu / PRIME onboard training for every new hire
- Utilize existing tactics and develop new, fun, and creative ways to ensure that FMAs are constantly instilled with the appropriate knowledge of our brand and product
- Execute frequent spot checks each month to monitor the effectiveness of the program and respond to areas of opportunity
- Identify leaders within the sampling team to assist in the running of the program, with clear goals and appropriate training
- Motivation: Foster a culture of fun, learning and empowerment
- Create and foster a positive learning environment and use tools such as interactive training, personal coaching and sharing of best practice
- Recognize achievement and development skill sets for the betterment of each individual, and Alani Nu / PRIME's sampling program as a whole
- Empower FMAs to identify, develop, and executive sampling missions and other ideas to improve the sampling experience
- Reward successful FMAs by offering a role in leading their teams at a field level
- Planning & Execution: Create plans to ensure delivery against the goal of building awareness and trial, especially against the female consumer
- Develop plans that combine strong market knowledge with an understanding of our strategic priority: To build Alani Nu / PRIME trail and awareness among consumers
- Utilize FMAs to develop a continuous flow of new and innovative ideas for sampling missions and other market opportunities
- Work with FMS/FMMs from other teams to collect, assess & schedule quality sampling missions
- Maximize the impact of market sampling by ensuring that missions that are unexpected, unique, and mobile
- Pending availability, collaborate with Alani Student Ambassadors to create maximum impact on college campuses
- Work with brand leadership to play an active role in quarterly planning, distributor reviews, &/or business planning cycles, etc.
- Implement a continuous series of Quality Sampling Missions for the market:
- Manage all activities with sampling missions:
- Establish & post work schedules in a timely manner
- Ensure adequate supplies, handling of all necessary logistics and field support
- Obtain required pre-approvals, as needed
- Take a leadership role in supporting market blitzes with targeted sampling
- Reporting & Communication: Manage internal reporting requirements
- Be competent in using and training other team members on appropriate (electronic) reporting tools
- Ensure timely processing of FMA timesheets and manage submission of payroll
- Build team schedule, utilizing in-depth knowledge of the home market
- Spend approximately 15-20 hours per week sampling in the field
- Track sampling metrics through reporting process to ensure goals are met
- Be vigilant that all interactions are reported accurately, and that FMAs are acting responsibly with company property
- Evaluate sampling data consistently to assess strategic sampling opportunities
- Discuss market analysis with manager and modify or revise plans as necessary, based on key lessons learned to achieve overall market strategies
- Proactively shares best practices, market leads, recaps/learnings with team members
- Work with manager to provide end-of-month reports for leadership team
- Communicate pro-actively and respond to all communication in a timely manner to foster a positive efficient team culture
- Collegiate Marketing Program
- Recruit, train & manage a team of Alani Student Ambassadors to make Alani Nu an integral and relevant part of a student's campus life
- Initiate, organize, & supervise events or sales opportunities, with the local sales team, to ensure perfect distribution and visibility in and around campus
- Activate campus relationships & integrate Alani Nu into key functional & image building opportunities with students, both on and off campus
- Local Market Event Opportunities
- Review & assess local market event opportunities that are reflective of the Alani Nu brand, and deliver a clear authentic message to the consumer
- Maximize ROI be selectively identifying relevant opportunities to grow the brand, achieve business objective and engage our consumers
Key Performance Results & Deliverables (What does success look like):
- Drive product trial and awareness with an emphasis on the female consumer by maintaining a fun, focused and effective Alani Nu and PRIME Sampling Program
- Build & maintain a team of FMAs that is representative of the brand personality and profile, while delivering against the FMAs Performance expectations
- Ensure that the team is motivated, knowledgeable about the brand and empowered to deliver on our sampling strategies
- Leverage all resources available (market knowledge & expertise, gatekeepers, influencers, sales team members, etc.) to plan for optimal missions
- Focus on creating missions based on market opportunity vs FMA availability
- Successful implementation and management of reporting process
- Consistent sharing of best practices and successes (through appropriate channels) to both local market and program leadership
- Effectively leverage the brand on select college campuses & local event opportunities
- 3-5 years of beverage field marketing management experience with direct oversight of a team
- Collegiate: Two-year degree preferred
- Strong relationship building skills
- Exemplary motivation skills and ability to cultivate team environment
- Charismatic and outgoing personality
- Existing local market knowledge preferred
- Creative mind with track record of innovation and initiative in past work experience / extra-curricular activities
- Ability to cultivate a team environment
- Strong understanding of the local market's collegiate landscape
- Experience with field marketing highly preferred.
- Full ownership of designated territories
- Travels 50-60% based on market territory
- A reliable means of transportation and a valid driver's license that is not expired, suspended, or revoked, as demonstrated with a MVR
- Maintain a pulse on the local market's activation opportunities
- Exceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilities
- Strong planning and project management competencies
- Ability to work extended hours on weekends• Must be proficient with relevant computer software and communication tools
- Flexible: You understand that this is not a typical 9-5 job. Things can & will change
- Track & maintain product inventory, accept deliveries, and market oversight of resources
- Regular physical activity may be required, e.g., setting up infrastructure, comfortably lift up to 75 lbs
