The Sourcing Director is responsible for implementing and maintaining a nationwide procurement system in a fast-paced environment where many important products are currently under existing negotiating contracts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of budgetary responsibility and will provide oversight and procedural guidance for the purchase of capital equipment, products, supplies, and services in multiple regions throughout the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Key member of the Field Support Department executing a capital equipment procurement strategy to support the annual fleet plan including supplier selection, equipment configuration, commercial terms negotiation, establishing and maintaining executive-level business relationships, monitoring contractual compliance, and adjusting sourcing strategies based on changing business needs.
- Implement supply chain strategies and establish supplier networks that secure capacity, improve effectiveness, and deliver quality, cost, support, and service with a focus on long-term viability.
- Oversee all aspects of negotiations, renewals, and contract administration. Through industry & product assessments, lead and guide supplier selection as well as determine category priorities.
- Employ strong leadership skills to help train, mentor, and develop team members. Provide support, coaching, and leadership for sourcing associates while challenging them to set and achieve their career and developmental goals.
- Dynamic senior leadership skills in directing and managing supply chain processes & operations, organizational growth, and product line cost controls.
- Proven track record of achieving operational goals through deep knowledge of sourcing strategy, market dynamics, prospects, and business opportunities.
- Excellent team communication and leadership skills with proven ability to effectively interact and support C-level executives, management, staff, and suppliers.
- Lead a centralized procurement and supply chain management initiative and team to execute sourcing requirements across all divisions and business units, by company goals and objectives
- Design and oversee the company purchasing strategy for all business units and divisions to ensure the highest possible levels of efficiency and fiscal responsibility
- Strong supplier management experience fostering an evergreen partnership relationship across all product lines.
- Execute national contracts whenever possible, depending on potential savings and customer satisfaction
- Develop positive and productive relationships with corporate and operational staff and external vendors.
- Provide direction, leadership, and advice regarding procurement procedures that will enhance profitability and business opportunities
- Keep current on competitive programs, industry trends, and local, state, and national regulations affecting the business
- Drive increased implementation of ERP system to increase process efficiency in all purchasing activities
- Ensure proper records and file maintenance to ensure vendor compliance, contract renewals, and participation
- Provide project leadership, training, and communication strategies for newly developed processes

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Salesforce
- Emotional Intelligence and effective leadership skills
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required
- An advanced degree (MBA) and/or related continuing education and accreditations such as CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) preferred
- A minimum (9) of nine years of progressive business analysis experience, with at least five years of experience specifically in purchasing and cost management.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
