Job Summary

The Athletic Department student assistant position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Department.

Job Description

Job Duties:

• Coordinating parking for basketball games.
• Ball chasing for soccer and volleyball games.
• Sweat mopping for home basketball games.
• Set up and breakdown of all home sporting events.
• Set up and Breakdown of special events.
• Grounds crew for baseball and softball fields.
• Helping us maintain a clean and safe environment for student Athletes.
• other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

• Enrolled as a degree seeking student at Florida Gulf Coast University at the time of hire and throughout the appointment. Must have a minimum GPA 2.5 and be in good conduct standing with the University.
• Eligible for work study funding.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for up to three hours at a time and work in all weather conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff, faculty, students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
