A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with 2-12 years of experience to join their esteemed team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in insurance defense litigation and a willingness to mentor junior attorneys through an apprenticeship model. Duties:
- Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Engage in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys.
- Conduct client interviews and maintain regular client communications to provide updates and legal advice.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration processes.
- Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Mentor and guide junior attorneys and paralegals, fostering their professional growth through apprenticeship.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and court regulations.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of California.
- 2 to 12 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Proven track record of handling complex insurance defense cases.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures and rules.
- Excellent litigation and trial skills.
- Effective negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active license to practice law in the state of California.
Skills:
- Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
