We are actively seeking a Sr. Manager of Communications for a Social Services Nonprofit. This is a permanent, direct-hire, fully remote position offering a salary range of $82,000 to $90,000.

As the Sr. Manager of Communications, you will play a key role in elevating the organization’s voice, engaging audiences, and creating compelling content to build awareness around its mission. You will lead strategic communications, manage media relationships, and create impactful digital and print materials, all while collaborating with a passionate team to amplify the organization’s presence.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic communications planning and execution
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficient in digital content development and management
  • Strong writing skills for editorial, marketing content, and press releases
  • Expertise in graphic design and media relations
  • Ability to convey complex, politically sensitive topics to diverse audiences
  • Experience with social media platforms, Google Analytics, and email marketing tools
  • Basic to intermediate video production and editing skills
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and donation platforms (Qgiv) a plus
  • A passion for the organization’s mission and cultural sensitivity towards the Middle East

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Work closely with the Executive Director to refine the organization’s messaging and communications strategies
  • Execute communications plans to expand audiences and increase program awareness
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, producing press releases and distributing publicity materials
  • Manage external vendors and oversee the production of graphics, videos, and other communication materials
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Individual Giving to create fundraising appeals
  • Develop content for newsletters, social media, website, and annual impact reports
  • Monitor and report on communications analytics to measure effectiveness
  • Oversee the organization’s brand and its visibility across various platforms
  • Participate in video-based education programs and possibly travel to the Middle East
