About the Role

Reporting to our Chief Legal Officer, this individual will provide comprehensive legal support across various business functions, focusing on employment law, litigation, and administrative regulatory law, particularly in relation to FCC regulations and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset, ready to navigate the legal landscape of high-speed fiber internet services.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that the company adheres to telecommunications regulations and other relevant laws, including FCC regulations.
  • Reviewing and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with telecommunications regulations, and advising on corporate governance matters.
  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing internal policies to ensure legal compliance and ethical business practices.
  • Providing legal advice to management, HR, and other various departments on business strategies and market expansions.
  • Protect the company's legal interests and provide guidance on legal rights and duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Experience:
  • At least five years of experience in corporate law; telecommunications or regulatory compliance experience a plus.
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA accredited law school or recognized foreign law school, and admission to at least (1) one state bar.
  • Experience with the telecommunications industry either at a law firm or in-house position highly preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and engage with various business units.
  • Experience with legal research tools and the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
