Key Responsibilities:
1. Power System Design and Analysis
- Develop comprehensive electrical power system designs, including load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination.
- Perform simulations and modeling using advanced software tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, and PowerWorld.
- Lead the installation, commissioning, and testing of power systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to address power system challenges effectively.
- Ensure all designs align with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, NERC).
- Stay abreast of advancements in power systems technologies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and automation engineers, to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet client and company objectives.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, schematics, and project documentation.
- Contribute to proposals and technical presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional experience in electrical engineering, focusing on power systems.
- Proven expertise with high-voltage equipment, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution networks.
- Proficiency in power system modeling tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, or SKM.
- Strong understanding of protection and control systems.
- Familiarity with renewable energy integration and microgrids (preferred).
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain it
- Certifications in power systems or related fields (e.g., IEEE Power & Energy Society).
