Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Specialist

Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in power systems to join our dynamic team. The role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical power systems across diverse applications, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in electrical distribution, high-voltage systems, and power generation, along with a passion for delivering innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Power System Design and Analysis

  • Develop comprehensive electrical power system designs, including load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination.
  • Perform simulations and modeling using advanced software tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, and PowerWorld.
2. System Implementation and Testing
  • Lead the installation, commissioning, and testing of power systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to address power system challenges effectively.
3. Compliance and Industry Standards
  • Ensure all designs align with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, NERC).
  • Stay abreast of advancements in power systems technologies and industry best practices.
4. Project Management and Collaboration
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and automation engineers, to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet client and company objectives.
5. Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, schematics, and project documentation.
  • Contribute to proposals and technical presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
  • Professional experience in electrical engineering, focusing on power systems.
  • Proven expertise with high-voltage equipment, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution networks.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Proficiency in power system modeling tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, or SKM.
  • Strong understanding of protection and control systems.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy integration and microgrids (preferred).
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Certifications (Preferred):
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain it
  • Certifications in power systems or related fields (e.g., IEEE Power & Energy Society).
