Description
Project Managers/Estimators bid, sell, and manage projects from pre-construction through completion. They serve as the primary point of contact with our customers and are responsible for the financial
results of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Perform takeoff of all quantities of concrete and masonry scope items and create estimates utilizing software
- Complete estimates incorporating subcontractor pricing, labor productions, and material costs
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Pre-construction project setup in company software
- Create and submit project submittals
- Manage project cost, schedule, and cash flow
- Attend monthly project financial meetings with the accounting department
- Track project labor production - daily, weekly, monthly - through reporting and production meetings
- Attend jobsite meetings and coordinate project activities with Superintendent and Foreman
- Foster and lead project safety
- Complete project closeout
- 5+ years experience with commercial subcontractors
- Must have good organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft programs such as: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- General knowledge of commercial construction principles and practices is required
- Have working experience with existing General Contractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, documents and specifications
- Have previous experience in estimating and managing projects
- 2-4 Year Degree in Construction Management or similar field
