Chief Financial Officer

First Electronic Bank is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and drive our continued growth and investment success. The ideal candidate will be a sophisticated financial executive with deep expertise in both sponsorship (BaaS) and industrial banking models. The CFO will be responsible for managing the Bank's finances, financial reporting, assessing financial risks and opportunities, and will oversee and manage our Accounting and Treasury departments. This role will also set and track financial goals, objectives and budgets.
Duties and responsibilities as follow:
- Oversees the financial functions of the Bank
- Manages and monitors liquidity
- Provides leadership, direction, and management of the treasury and accounting team.
- Provides strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive management team
- Writes, reviews and approves all Policies and Procedures related to the Finance function of the bank
- Prepares & presents financial information to the Board of Directors including but not limited to: financial performance, capital plan, contingency funding plan, and annual budget
- Oversees all tax work for the bank
- Enhances and implements financial and accounting systems, processes, and tools
- Serves as volunteer board member for CRA related organizations
- Establishes, develops, and maintains relationships with partners, correspondents, banking organizations, auditors, regulators, etc.
- Oversees accounts payable, approves large payables, signs checks, authorizes large wires
- Chairman of Asset Liability Committee – Prepares and reports all related information to committee
- Serves as a member of the Credit Committee and the IT Steering Committee
- Sets deposit rates and works to obtain deposits when necessary
- Coordinates with Human resources in making recommendation of employee benefits
- Assists in recommendation of corporate insurance program to BOD
- Other duties as assigned
- 10+ years previous professional experience in financial management required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
- Previous experience in industrial banking or BaaS models is strongly preferred
- Strong financial and accounting background, including a expert-level understanding of profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow management, and corporate structure
- Previous professional Executive experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
*This position is located in our Salt Lake City office, and will require 3 days per week onsite
