RN - Pediatric ICU - 13 Weeks
Shift Time:
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Job Summary:
We seek a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for a 13-week assignment. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting. The ideal RN candidate will have maternal and child health expertise, IV insertion and phlebotomy, and experience with conscious sedation. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following patient care protocols. Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures as needed. Monitor and manage conscious sedation for pediatric patients, ensuring safety and comfort. Qualifications: Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in pediatric care, with specific experience in the following areas:
Maternal and child health IV insertion and phlebotomy Conscious sedation
Education & Licensure: New York State RN License
(Active and in good standing) Primary Source Verification
of RN License AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
certification AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
certification IV/Phlebotomy experience
(must be demonstrated)
