We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Senior Network Security Engineer

to join our business end-client on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security solutions to protect our organization's systems, data, and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, recommend security enhancements, and ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure network architecture, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and other security measures. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, analyze security incidents, and respond to threats in a timely manner. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security risks. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for network operations. Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure secure configurations. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and security measures. Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, or others applicable to the organization. Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend enhancements to improve the organization's security posture. Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 7+ years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role. Expertise in firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security tools. Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS) and network architecture. Proficiency in performing vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and penetration testing. Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network monitoring solutions. Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills

Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible). Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles. Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
