Do you love music and are excited about building the future of music experiences? The Amazon Music Product Design team is looking for a talented, passionate Front-End Engineer with a track record of delivery, ownership and attention to detail. You will help champion how the Amazon Music design team delivers experiences that are distributed around the world, spanning mobile apps, web, tv, and voice for our customers across different geographies and musical cultures.

Key Job Responsibilities

This Front-End Engineer will support the Design Systems & Engineering team focused on user-interface development, prototyping, and tooling to deliver high quality user-interfaces and user-experiences for the Amazon Music app. Your key job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Working on our React Native library of reusable foundations, components and patterns.
2. Working on an extensible motion framework to support our quality bar.
3. Working on high-fidelity prototypes to support our next generation experiences.
4. Write high-quality, clean, efficient, performant, and well documented code to create reusable and modular components.
5. Document front-end engineering best practices for other cross-functional team members.
6. Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Provide thorough unit and integration testing, and support products while deployed and used by our customers.
8. Balance constraints, limiting short-term workarounds, while focusing on future extensions.
9. Drive consensus between design, engineering and product owners.

About the Team

The Design Systems & Engineering team is embedded within the Product Design team, focusing on delivering high quality customer experiences. The team builds our design system UI library, and distributes prototypes used for innovation and user-testing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building performant cross-platform Mobile Applications using React Native and GraphQL
- Working knowledge of iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows, Linux and Web platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Additional qualifications may include other relevant technologies and frameworks.
