Position Description


OnSite Energy is looking for an enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated individual to join our company as our Warehouse & Procurement Manager. This position is responsible for inventory logistics. They manage the timely purchasing of inventory and accurate receiving, stocking, inventorying, and kitting of company products before being mobilized into the field. They support the installation crew by providing the equipment and materials necessary to efficiently execute an installation in the field. Additionally, they will be responsible for communicating with other members of the operations team to ensure that adequate quantities and types of materials are being ordered to ensure a smooth supply chain and timely, optimal project performance. Finally, they will be responsible for overseeing a safe, clean, and organized warehouse, shop yard, and vehicle fleet. The W&P Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and is based out of our headquarters in Bozeman, Montana.


Essential Functions


Procurement (BZN & MSO)

  • Purchase materials as needed to maintain stocked inventory levels and for non-stocked custom projects
  • Establish and optimize reorder points and reorder quantities; identify optimal vendors
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors & negotiating
  • Evaluate spending operations while seeking ways to decrease COGs and increase both the timeliness of deliveries and the frequency of inventory turns

Inventory Management (BZN & MSO)

  • Ensure accurate and up to date inventory of all products stored in the warehouse and stockrooms
    • Decrease physical/digital inventory discrepancies
  • Regularly replenish depleted stock materials with forward planning and procurement strategies
  • Permanently label all tools and track their whereabouts
  • Perform ongoing inventory counts and annual audit of tools, equipment, and materials

Shipping and Receiving (BZN only)

  • Oversee safe loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting of materials
  • Oversee inspection of incoming shipments for damage and confirm accuracy against purchase orders
  • Sort, label, and stock received materials on warehouse shelves in organized manner

Job Kit Preparation (BZN only)

  • Communicate with operations team to execute forward planning strategies for multiple jobs at once
  • Oversee kitting for installation crews, staging for mobilization, and loading project materials daily
  • Track installation crew progress in the field and oversee logistical support where needed, including materials purchases from local supply houses and jobsite deliveries
  • Maximize opportunities for prefabrication of small parts and balance of systems components
  • Strive to continually improve jobsite performance through offsite job preparation
  • Capture and document necessary serial numbers

Warehouse and Vehicle Fleet Organization and Maintenance (BZN only)

  • Secure and maintain clean and orderly areas including the warehouse, stock rooms, and parking lot
  • Ensure all vehicles and crews are properly stocked with necessary installation and safety equipment
  • Oversee vehicle/equipment maintenance and registration
  • Clean unused materials and used material packaging out of trucks daily, dispose of and recycle
  • Continue to improve processes and the physical layout of materials for optimum efficiency
  • Keep vehicle maintenance logs, schedule regular service appointments, coordinate drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Keep a running task list for Installation Dept team members on cold weather days, late starts, etc.

Warehouse and Fleet Safety (BZN only)

  • Coordinate forklift safety training in both a classroom and in-person environment
  • Develop and present trailer rigging, trailer driving, and vehicle best-practices training


Previous Experience and Required Skills


We are seeking candidates with 2-5 years of professional experience in a Warehouse or Procurement management role, preferably with some exposure to both. Previous experience in vendor relations, establishing reorder points and quantities, and general inventory management are required. Candidates must possess effective communication and negotiation skills, have a strong understanding of digital and physical inventory organization, and the ability to prioritize assorted tasks and duties. They must also be adept at using inventory software to ensure components are delivered on time and purchased efficiently to minimize cost. Compensation and Benefits


The Warehouse and Procurement Manager position is full-time, salaried position averaging 40hrs per week.
