As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As a Dental Assistant you will:

+ Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies

+ Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays

+ Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures

+ Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.)

+ Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed

+ Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies

+ Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models

+ Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient

+ Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff

In addition, this position will also assist with the front office duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program or dental assistant experience preferred

+ Previous customer service or office experience

+ Proficiency or the ability to become proficient in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Foster a positive attitude and be a team player

Patient Care Hours:

Monday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Tuesday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Wednesday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Thursday 7:30am - 4:00p

Occasional Fridays 8:00am - 1:00pm as needed
