Salary: $23 - $25 hr. DOE/E
Benefits: PTO, 401k with match
Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm
Progressive, high quality Endodontic office located in Glendale, CA has an immediate need for a Dental Assistant to join our team. The assistant supports endodontic dental care delivery by offering chairside procedure assistance, sterilization, dental imaging, and patient care. The ideal candidate is naturally upbeat, possessing time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively while preserving a positive teamwork environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
• Provides diagnostic information by administering quality dental x-rays.
• Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; suctioning; passing instruments and anticipating needs throughout the treatment appointment.
• Documents dental care services by charting in patient notes and final reports to dentists.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt.
• Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
• DA, Xray and CPR certification.
• At least 2+ years of applicable experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of dental software.
• Excellent communication skills, high energy, and ability to multi-task.
• Computer savvy with capable typing skills.
• Team player with the ability to work cooperatively with referring dental offices, other staff members, and patients.
• Self-starter with the skills to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
• Must have a natural drive to grow professionally within the role and learn from constructive feedback.
• Fast learner with the ability to grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations.
