The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Phlebotomist to support our government customer located in Silver Springs, Maryland.


DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ ??Responsible for the collection and handling of blood specimens and related assessment of volunteer safety used in diagnosing and tracking illnesses, drug testing, clinical trials, or other health-related areas requiring a blood sample.


+ Prepare lab tube requirements and associated paperwork for next-day visits, ensuring all required documents are present and the correct version.


+ Provide a written monthly update report of any issues or concerns involving the laboratory, freezer storage, or phlebotomy operations (equipment, supplies), and status of or issues involving CLIA/CLP certifications.


+ Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:


+ Requires completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) program and passing a national PBT certification exam.


+ IATA Certification


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


+ Must have 4+ years of relevant experience.


+ Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks.


REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:


+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.


+ Must be able to pass a NACI for Common Access Card.
