Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability with performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontamination, and updating patient information. Responsibilities include collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, explaining the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously, demonstrating techniques using straight and butterfly needles, understanding all physicians' orders, matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, and ensuring 100% accuracy in labeling and packaging specimens for transport. The role also requires compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations, attending annual department trainings, and responding to telephone inquiries.
