Job Title: Phlebotomist Float

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist Float with over 3 years of phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient with straight needles, reliable, punctual, and possess strong communication skills. Fluency in Russian is required.

Responsibilities

* Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate equipment.

* Update patient information accurately.

* Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.

* Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures as required.

* Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

* Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.

* Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.

* Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy.

* Package specimens for transport.

* Store specimen samples according to the required temperature, place samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately label, and follow different procedures as outlined by specific protocols to maintain the integrity of the specimens.

Essential Skills

* 3+ years of phlebotomy experience.

* Proficiency with straight needles.

* Reliable and punctual.

* Strong communication skills.

* Fluency in Russian.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or outpatient setting.

* Experience in specimen collection, patient care, venipuncture, and blood draws.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
