Description:

Responsible for building maintenance and repairs, small projects, or other tasks assigned by the Overnight Building Superintendent. The overnight team will typically work Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10pm – 6 am.


RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assist in repair and upkeep of the facilities to maintain day-to-day operation and elevated experiences for the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, the corporate office and all Space Needle owned properties.
  • Assist the Superintendent, Engineer and/or Painter with painting prep, cleaning, maintenance and preventive maintenance including window washing, concrete cleaning, and lubricating equipment as needed.
  • Dismantle, remove, replace, clean and/or repair various pieces of equipment throughout the facility.
  • Flexible with schedule and changes to duties.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Familiarity with all hand tools as well as electrical power tools (hand drills, table saw, band saw, drill press, etc.).
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, general woodworking background, and general knowledge of painting.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no DUIs or at-fault accidents in the past 2 years. Ability to effectively communicate using the English language.
  • Ability to work in high areas with a harness as needed.
  • Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, lift 50 pounds, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces at times.
  • The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Typical shift is approximately 8 hours, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10pm – 6 am.

Full Time, Hourly Position

Hourly Rate: $21.32 - $21.32 / hour + $2.00 / hour overnight premium paid for all overnight shifts
