Adjunct Instructor - Phlebotomy
Job Summary
Teaches, evaluates and supervises students during classroom and examination periods on a per class basis.
General Accountabilities
Initiates, facilitates, and moderates classroom discussions.
Prepares course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
Copies and distributes classroom materials.
Informs students of the procedures for completing and submitting class work.
Returns assignments to students in accordance with established deadlines.
Supervises students' fieldwork, internship (local area hospitals and blood draw centers)Incorporates e-learning module into teaching framework.
Prepares and/or proctors examinations.
Evaluates and grades students' class work, assignments, and papers.
Prepares and delivers lectures to students on relevant topics.
Collaborates with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
Advises students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.

Job Qualifications
Education: Associates degree in a field related to course instruction. Bachelors or Higher preferred. MLT, MT preferred.
Experience: Successful completion of applicable licenses, professional credentials or certifications with at least three years of experience. If you are a phlebotomist, must have 5 years experience with a combination of outpatient and in-patient facilities.
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Instructing, Active listening, Problem solve, Active learning .Ability to demonstrate and conduct "live" sticks with students. Comfortable presenting materials in a e-format (i.e video, e-learning system, PC, etc)
